Taichung Seize the Day

Caesar came to us in 1994.  We got Caesar from Laura Perkinson of Taichung Shibas. At Taichung's site you can see many of Caesar's relatives. Caesar's father is Ch.Hideryu of Fujinomiya Kensha, ROM, better known as "Phoenix". Caesar's mother is Taichung Sparkles at nite, better known as "Keno". Keno's mother is Ch Homaretennome of Gishfujiso, better known as "Willow", R.O.M. It is kind of fun to look at his family tree.

 Caesar is a pretty typical Shiba. He loves to play with toys and with Judy, our other Shibas .  They have great fun wrestling and playing chase up and down the stairs. It is quite fun to watch. Here they are playing with one of their stuffed toys. Judy usually puts theys toys out of their misery by immediately removing their squeaker.

Shibas must always be kept on a leash unless they are in an enclosed or fenced area. Shibas were used to hunt game birds and other animals as well.  They are very quick and no matter how well trained will take chase after anything that sparks their interest be it a squirrel, cat, bird anything fun to chase. Caesar is very fast and if your not careful he will dash out of the front door before you even know it. Thank goodness it has only happened a few times.

Caesar's favorite pastimes are patrolling the backyard, sleeping on our bed, and playing with his buddy Judy.  He also took a clicker training class at the ripe old age of 8 and was the star of the class..  You can teach and old dog new tricks.
